Possibility. Probability. Choice. Wayfinding. Perception. Projection. Memory. The act of seeing, looking, and experiencing, is a function of time, memory, and of all of our senses. I think art can help describe the transformative processes of the passage of time. My painting process - and resulting paintings, represent my attempt to explore and come to terms with these states, the possibility of quantum realities, and the nature of place and memory. I am interested in the ability of a painting to capture various aspects of time - to represent or suggest the fluctuating moments between possibility, probability, and choice - mapping pathways from one moment to another. In this way, painting for me reflects my life, interests, and a tool to help me understand the world.
